Exceptional Royal Coat of Arms in decorated and polychrome cast iron with the coat of arms of William III of Orange Nassau and the coat of arms of Emma of Waldeck-Pyrmont. On the left the coat of arms of William III with the standing lion and on the right the coat of arms of Emma with the star in the middle. The weapons are flanked on the left and right by large standing lions as weapon carriers. Among the weapons a banderole with the slogans "Je maintiendrai" (I will maintain) and "Palma sub Pondere Crescit" (the palm tree grows against the oppression) Probably cast by foundry Enthoven in The Hague. the Netherlands, 19th century. |
